we feel that through this test, we have gained some knowledge and skill about how to design a test. One of the thing that we realize is that it really takes time to produce a good test. through not only just designing the test but also justifying the test we had designed had make us open our eyes and see our own mistakes. Besides that, we also had personally experience why it is said that it is impossible to create a perfect test as it is really hard or we can say almost impossible for reliability, practicality and validity to reach a point that it is perfect as a whole when they are judge together.
that's all for our assignment thank you for your time. :)

Problems Justification
it's really hard to justify our own test as we ourselves believe that we did a perfect test. That is how we thought when we design our test. However when we come to the process of justifying our own test, we found that it is really hard to have a test with good reliability, practicality and validity comes together.

(Part 3) Justification = Hard
It's quite hard to justify our own test as we create the test based on what we know. Therefore, we only believe and expect that our test is suitable for the students. However, that might be not what actually happen as the test might produce a different outcome or result if it is put into the real deal which is testing the actual student that the test are suppose to appointed to. Therefore, this thought had cause us confusion and problems when going through the process of justifying our own works.

(Part 2) Hard to Choose the Right Questions
Okay, we started combining the information we had and so far it's running smoothly. Thanks to a few books we manage to get extra information about the test we are going to design. Well, here is the two book that we are using:
Language Testing: The Construction and Validation
by Hassan Basri Awang Mat Dahan
and
Language Test Construction and Evaluation
by J.charles Alderson, Caroline Calpham and Dianne Wall
Along the process of designing this test, there are a few factors we feel it’s important to identify before starting to design our test which we listed as below:
(1) The level of the students. (which we had set it as form 4 students)
(2) The tests should only include all the knowledge that is already taught.
(3) Checking whether the questions we set is in our Malaysia’s education syllabus.
The factors have to be carefully plan as it can cause the outcome to be not accurate. The test should be appropriate to the level of the students we are testing and the test should be testing what they have been taught during their lesson. Also, the test should also follow the syllabus which is stated in the Malaysian’s Education system so that we can unify the level of the test. In other words, by doing that we will able to design a test that has the same level for all the students throughout the state.
After that, we had to design the questions for the essay. It’s quite a headache to choose the right question to suits both syllabus and level of students is taking us quite a bit of time as we won’t want to confused the students and cause misleading answer from the students at the same time it have to be one of the aspect in the syllabus. cont...

(Part 1: The Begining) Tough Time Choosing
Hi dr.lee...our group consist of three members...Sanjay, Jong and Cleopatra. as we started our discussion about the language test that we are about to create wa week earlier, we came across a lot of challenges. first of all it was hard for us to even understand properly what the course is all about. after doing a little bit of revision then we start to get familiar with the terms. as we were discussing, a few things were highlighted. one, what type of test, second how the test should look like, and three what type of questions to give and how the answer scheme should be. after further discussion, we agreed to do a writing test. and that is our focus. and now we have choosed a scope, but we still have some difficulty in choosing the type of question. we have agreed to divide the task and later compare the results of our findings and then move to our second level in our project.
tq. Cont...
